Schooner Luna is our luxuriously appointed Coast Guard Certified passenger vessel perfect for large and small groups to enjoy. Luna boasts the largest decks and passenger capacity of any charter sailboat in the Hamptons. She can easily accommodate her capacity of 41 guests. Yet, Luna remains delightfully intimate for smaller groups who want a truly pampering sailing experience. Guests are always welcome to bring what they want for prepared food and drink. We also work with the best area caterers for those who would like to leave every aspect to the professionals. Luna has a truly unique capacity to entertain all types of catering and a variety of onboard food experiences. We can make just about anything happen onboard. This ability makes Luna uniquely ready for that special event and corporate outing. After nearly a decade in Sag Harbor, Luna’s loyal following spreads throughout the East End, Long Island, and New York. We are honored, and love our charters who come back to sail aboard Luna every year.
Luna is available for Hamptons Luxury Charters from Sag Harbor, Shelter Island, and Greenport. She is ready for outings to a large number of local destinations including: the Pridwin, Sunset Beach, Ram’s Head Inn, and Silver Sands. Luna is also available to go to Duryea’s Montauk and Navy Beach on longer trips.
A powerful generator and galley outlet system makes Luna a fantastic and reliable event location. She has the unique ability to accommodate private chefs, restaurants and caterers for onboard prepared cuisine.
Luna is extensively Refit and continually upgraded. She is a one of a kind design built solely for charter. Her design is a Down-east Bermudian Schooner. Her bespoke design was crafted for charter, and unrivaled space and stability. This gives Schooner Luna an impressive ability to sail flat and steadfast. She remains fully stable even when her massive sails are raised and her decks fully loaded with happy guests.
Also leading to fantastic experiences, Luna’s shallow draft (depth into the water) makes her uniquely able to access stunning secluded spots throughout the Gardiner and Peconic Bays. Her impressive 80 foot tall masts, large sails and heavy displacement all work together to make a delightful sailing experience.

Luna is equipped with a full assortment of serving ware, cutlery, cups and all the accouterments needed for any occasion. Her comfortable and spacious arrangements provide guests with ample room to comfortably relax. Below deck, Luna has an efficient dedicated serving station and a cozy salon for lounging. Her facilities (the ‘head’) are spacious and easy.
