Schooner Luna is a luxuriously appointed Coast Guard Certified passenger vessel perfect for large and small groups to enjoy. She has the largest deck space and passenger capacity of any charter sailboat in the Hamptons (up to 41 guests). Beyond luxurious, Luna is incredibly comfortable and stable under sail. Despite her size, however, Luna remains delightfully intimate for smaller groups who want a truly pampering sailing experience. Staffed with experienced hospitality focused sailors who always strive to make the experience perfect, Luna is the ultimate Hamptons Luxury Charter.
Luna has an incredible and unique capacity to entertain all types of catering and a variety of onboard food experiences. We can make just about anything happen onboard. This ability makes Luna uniquely ready for that special event and corporate outing. After nearly a decade in Sag Harbor, Luna’s loyal following spreads throughout the East End and New York. We are honored, and love our charters who come back to sail aboard Luna every year.
Luna is available from Sag Harbor, Shelter Island, and Greenport. She is ready for outings to a large number of local destinations including: the Pridwin, Sunset Beach, Ram’s Head Inn, and Silver Sands. Luna is also available to go to Duryea’s Montauk and Navy Beach on longer trips.
A powerful new generator and galley outlet system makes Luna a fantastic and reliable event location. She has the unique ability to accommodate private chefs, restaurants and caterers for onboard prepared cuisine.
Luna is extensively Refit and continually upgraded. Luna is a one of a kind design built solely for charter. She is a Downeast Bermudian Schooner drawn by a prominent Naval Architecture firm in Boothbay, Maine. Her bespoke design was crafted for unrivaled space and stability. Her design gives Schooner Luna an impressive ability to sail flat and straight. She does so even when her massive sails are raised and her decks fully loaded with happy guests. Most importantly, Luna’s shallow draft (depth into the water) makes her uniquely able to access stunning secluded Shelter Island anchorages like Coecles Harbor and West Neck Creek. No other sailboat her size in the East End has this ability. With this unique characteristic, Luna can also visit the best swim spots throughout the Gardiner and Peconic Bays. Her impressive 80 foot tall masts, large sails and heavy displacement all work together to make a delightful sailing experience.

Her comfortable and spacious arrangements provide guests with ample room to comfortably relax. Below deck, Luna has an efficient dedicated serving station and a cozy salon for lounging. Her facilities (the ‘head’) are spacious and easy.
